Abstract
Mexico City is a metropolitan area around D.F., the Mexican Capital city. Mexico City has been the primate city of Mesoamerican region since Aztec Empire and the growth of Mexico City was triggered in 1940-1970. It was influenced by the economic policy of Mexican government. The import substitution industrialization policy affected to concentrate the economic activity of Mexico and the benefit of the development in Mexico City. The urban district of Mexico City was delimited in the core region by 1950 and enlarged into the suburbs at an extraordinary rate. The urban district is somewhat segregated by rich west and poor east, as it was in the past. The regional gap between the Mexico City and the other Mexican region is radically vivid when it is in the case of Mexico City and Guerrero, one of the Southern State. There exists the regional gap between the Mexico City subregions. The core region and the inner region have low index of marginality and the mid region and the outer region have somewhat high index of marginality.
