본 연구는 지역의 인구 및 사회 구조를 변화시키는 중요한 요인 중의 하나인 대학 진학과 대학 졸업자 취업 이동의 공간적 특성을 탐색하고자 한다. 먼저 대학졸업자 직업이동 경로조사를 기반으로 대학 진학과 대졸자 취업 이동을 각 시도별로 분석하였다. 이를 통하여 대졸자 취업 이동이 대학 진학 이동에 비하여 더욱 서울로 집중된 경향을 보임을 확인하였다. 다음으로 각 인구이동을 출발지와 목적지의 해당 연령대의 인구수와 결합한 후 장소–특수적 포아송 회귀 모형을 기반으로 인구이동의 공간 상호작용을 모형화하였다. 이를 통해 인구이동의 중요한 요소인 출발지의 배출력, 목적지의 흡입력, 그리고 장애요인인 출발지와 목적지 사이의 거리에 대한 전역적 패러미터를 추정함과 동시에 국지적 거리 패러미터를 탐색하였다. 이를 통해 서울과 그와 인접한 경기도 지역은 두 이동 모두에 있어 전역적 값에 비해 거리의 영향을 적게 받는 지역인 반면 강원 남부와 경북 북동부, 그리고 경남 서부와 전북 동부 지역은 거리의 영향을 더 많이 받는 지역으로 확인되었다.
Abstract
This article explores the characteristics of college entrance and job migration that changes demographic and social structures in related regions. First, college entrance and job migration obtained from the Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey are summarized in a province level. This summary shows more concentrated job migration flows into Seoul than college entrance migration. Second, this study estimates place-specific Poisson regression models based on the migration flows with corresponding age-specific population for origin and destination. These regression models estimate global parameters for emissiveness of origins, attractiveness of destinations, and spatial separation between origin and destination, but also local parameters for the spatial separation. The analysis results find regions, where migrants tend to move and come further than global spatial separation parameters, such as southern Seoul and its neighbors, and shorter distance, such as southern Gangwon and north-eastern Gyeogbuk provinces.
