재일(在日)작가 고 가쓰히로(呉勝浩)의 추리소설과 서사 전략―『도덕의 시간』과 『폭탄』을 중심으로―

「在日」という言葉は、一般的に「日本に居住する外国人」という意味であるが、在日朝鮮人に対する差別用語として使われている。在日は通常、日本の朝鮮統治時代に朝鮮半島から移動し、日本に定住した朝鮮人とその子孫を指す。朝鮮人の日本への移住と定着は、未来のより豊かな生活に対する願望、熱望から始まったと言える。 本稿で注目している在日3世である作家呉勝浩(1981～）は、2015年に作品『道徳の時間』を発表、第61回江戸川乱歩賞を受賞し、日本の文壇に登場した。当時、在日作家が日本で最も権威のあるミステリー文学賞を受賞したことで、韓・日両国で話題となった。 本稿では、呉勝浩の代表作の中で類似した叙事構造を持つ『道徳の時間』と『爆弾』に焦点を当て、彼が日本社会のマイノリティである在日朝鮮人の視点から、貧困、不平等、差別、腐敗、人権問題など、日本社会が抱えている現実的な問題を物語の中心において、社会正義と倫理に対する「熱望」をどのように物語化しているのかを探ってみた。呉勝浩は、従来の在日作家とは異なり、「社会派推理小説」という在日文学と切り離せない「社会性」を通して、社会のマイノリティ、貧困、差別などの問題を可視化しようと試みている。彼は推理小説の典型的な問いを追求しながらも、果たして「道徳」とは何かという哲学的な問いを配置し、「道徳」という重いテーマについて省察を促しているのである。
Abstract
The Japanese word “Zainichi” once meant “foreigners in Japan,” but it came to be commonly used as a derogatory term for ethnic Korean residents in Japan. Zainichi refers to Koreans and their descendants who migrated from the Korean Peninsula and settled in Japan during the Japanese occupation of Korea. The migration and settlement of Koreans in Japan was undertaken because of the migrants’aspirations for a better life in the future. Katsuhiro Go is a third-generation Zainichi writer. In 2015, He published his work “Lessons of Morality” and won the 61st Edogawa Rampo Prize, marking his appearance in the Japanese literature world. At that time, Zainichi had won Japan’s most prestigious mystery literary award, making it a popular topic in both Korea and Japan. This paper focuses on “Lessons of Morality”and “The Bomb,” two of Go Katsuhiro's major works that have similar narrative structures, to explore how he narrates his “aspiration” for social justice and ethics from the perspective of the Zainichi. Unlike conventional Zainichi writers, Katsuhiro Go attempts to make the problems of “sociality” of “social mystery novels,” which are inseparable from Zainichi literature, visible. While pursuing the typical questions of mystery novels, he asks the philosophical question of what “morality” really is and encourages reflection on that heavy theme.
