한중 양국의 주요도시 경쟁력 평가

본 연구는 국제도시로 비약하려는 도시들의 경쟁력을 평가하는 것을 연구목적으로 하였다. 국제화 여건 부문이 중시된 도시경쟁력 분석은 우선 과학적 방법으로 가중치를 구하고, 이를 적용하여 한중 14개 도시에 대해 경쟁력을 비교 평가하였다. 지표체계를 구성하는 각 변수에 대해 도시연구자들을 위주로 한 전문가 설문을 통해 AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)분석법으로 가중치를 산출하였다. 도시경쟁력 분석 결과 일반도시 현황 부문보다 가중치가 큰 성장여건과 국제화 여건 부문에서 높은 좋은 점수를 얻은 중국의 도시들이 전체 경쟁력에 있어서 한국 도시들 보다 우위를 나타내고 있다. 중국 도시들(텐진을 제외한)은 성장여건과 국제화 여건 부문의 좋은 점수로 인해 모두 한국 도시들(서울을 제외한) 보다 높은 순위를 점하고 있다. 반면 한국의 경우는 제1의 도시인 서울의 경우에도 성장여건과 국제화여건에서 각각 8위, 7위에 머물러 종합적으로 5위 정도에 머물고 있다. 한국의 도시 중 서울에 이어 가장 높은 점수를 기록한 인천의 경우도 국제화 여건 항목에서 8위 정도이고 종합 순위도 8위 정도로 나타난다.
Abstract
This paper intends to evaluate the level of global competitiveness on 14 cities of both Korea and China which have attempted to become global cities, by estimating ?competitiveness index focuses on internationalization? using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method on weight of the each variable. The results are as follows: the Chinese cities showed higher scores than those of Korea thanks to good score on growth condition and international circumstances. The other Chinese cities except for Tianjin showed higher scores than Korean cities except for Seoul, which means better conditions for international competition. However, Seoul, the primate city of Korea ranked the 8th and 7th on each the growth condition and international circumstances, so that the final rank are placed on 5th over the overall conditions. Incheon, even taking the second place after Seoul, ranked 8th for both the international circumstances and overall grades, too.
