Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to investigate more flexible and creative methods of Korean education in this information society where the rapid transaction and the creation of values are laid emphasis on. Since the information society requires each of us to cultivate our abilities, to realize ourselves, and to maximize our social functions, there should be many attempts and studies in Korean education to meet these social needs. Therefore, we should take a multi-faceted approach like adopting various contexts and texts through multimedia, beyond the conventional method of using textbooks. In this vein, adopting films to the Korean education would stimulate learners' interest, make classes come alive, deepen their understanding of Korean culture, and enable to teach the authenticity and diversity of the language. For this purpose, this paper proposes an advanced Korean course mainly based on Korean films and web pages related to films, which includes activities for learners not only to understand the Korean language and culture but to engage themselves into the culture by themselves.
