한국어 구어에 나타난 강조법 연구

This study explores how the aspects of emphasis is realized in the spoken corpus of Korean. The aspects of emphasis reflects the desire of the speaker to convey the content of his/her message in a way which results in a stronger impression being made. It is realized in various language units, and appears in the sequence of the method of lexicon > phonological method > syntactical method > derivative method > inflectional method. The most commonly used methods are the use of lexical item in the form of the adverb with strong meaning for emphasis, or repetition of part of the sentence which the speaker aims to emphasize. Also, the exchange of phonemes displays the characteristics of modern Korean language in that the words emphasized are often pronounced in fortis. The aspects of emphasis is not realized in the category of inflection as in the other categories of grammar, but with the establishment of the aspects of emphasis as the category of grammar, it contributes to the establishment of system of Korean grammar and to the detailed conceptualization of its categories. In addition, this study to explore the characteristics of aspects used in the spoken language emphasis would make it possible to describe the system of grammar in the spoken language as a counterpart to the existing studies on Korean language, which, to date, have been centered mainly on written language.
