초급 단계 한국어 학습자의 문화 능력 평가 방법

Abstract

Recently, many Korean Education researchers have been emphasizing the importance of cultural education in Korean as a Foreign Language (KFL). Various approaches and methods for teaching Korean culture are now being included in text books and many Korean language classes. However, despite the inclusion of Korean culture in Korean language curriculums, evaluation devices for Cultural Literacy has not yet been developed. Without evaluating the learners Cultural Literacy, it can be very difficult to provide an effective and meaningful cultural education to the learners. Since there are needs for evaluating, this paper aims to develop methods in evaluating Cultural Literacy for KFL learners. This paper contains current studies and development of the evaluation devices surrounding this need, of which have I tested on beginning Korean language learners. However, there are some problems that are caused by developing devices for Cultural Literacy without ongoing discussions or surveying. So these problems must be revised for continual development. However, this aspect will be left for future studies.
