대학 글쓰기 교과의 운영 방식과 교재 개발 실태

Abstract

This paper aims to survey and suggest that the writing curriculum of general arts in university. I discussed about the process of development writing subject in general arts. The process were four stage ; First, the undivided period of college composition(From the independence of Korea to the 1960s). Second, the period of Korean language as liberal arts(From the 1970s to the 1990s). Third, the period of independence of the composition subject(since the 2000s). Fourth, it was made clear that a new direction of college composition education is related to the development of the composition curriculum, the selection of objectives and contents of composition education, the development of teaching-learning method appropriate to the composition subject, the principle of assessment and the like. I see the substance of college writing was consist of three types ; First, foundation-deepening program implicated the knowledge of basic composition. Second, the focus of thought program was consist of creative, critical and scientific thought. Third, field of study composition divided into liberal arts, social science and natural science writing. But these structure were lacking to raised up the student’s writing ability. These problems are discontinuous of highschool-college curriculum, thought boundary are not clear and insufficient of contents. I suggest that the subject of college composition is operated by free independent system. We must be aim to goal various factors, and specialized this subject. We must be developed various special textbooks.
