미술치료를 활용한 노인 자아존중감 증진교육프로그램 효과 연구 - 생애회고 기법을 중심으로 -

초록

본 연구는 미술치료를 활용하여 노인 자아존중감 증진 교육프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 검증할 목적으로 실시되었다. 프로그램은 노인 자아존중감 증진의 필요성과 생애회고 기법을 중심으로 한 미술치료 효과를 알아보고 그 동안의 문헌연구를 바탕으로 개발되었으며, 강의와 미술치료를 병행하여 구성하였다. 연구대상은 복지관을 이용하는 60세 이상 일반 노인 남녀 17명을 대상으로 하였으며 총 8회기 프로그램으로 진행되었다. 개발된 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 자아존중감 척도의 사전-사후검사를 실시하였으며 그 점수 변화를 살펴본 결과 ρ<.001수준에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 나타내었다. 따라서 미술치료를 활용한 노인교육 프로그램이 노인의 긍정적 자아를 강화하고 부정적 자아를 감소시켜 노인의 자아존중감 증진에 매우 효과적임을 입증하였다.

Abstract

An educational program through art therapy was developed in order to analyze the effect of enhancement of self-respect of the elderly focusing on life reminiscence technique. First of all, this study was designed to summarize the concepts of self-respect and the effects of art therapy with the life reminiscence technique from the literature review. The above identified knowledge and information were applied to developing the educational program. The program was composed of 6 sessions with 17 old men and women focused on developing positive self image using reminiscence on self-respect through their whole life span and accepting their old days. And enforcing and evaluation methods were also suggested. The results were as follows. This program showed the significant differences between post-test and pre-test scores in the scale of self-respect of the elderly. In conclusion, educational program through art therapy employed for this study has significant effects of increasing self-respect of the elderly.
