초록

The subspecies-specific RAPD markers were identified using 30 varieties (15 japonica and 15 indica) from diverse geographical origins. Of 690 random primers tested including subspecies-specific (SS) RAPD markers reported earlier, 55 primers generated 67 subspecies-specific bands, which are designated as SS markers. They consisted of 31 markers that are present only in japonica, and 36 markers only in indica varieties. Shingeumobyeo, Nipponbare, Hwacheongbyeo, and CP-SLO in japonica, and Tetep and New Sabramati in indica were regarded as typical varieties belonging to each subspecies. Most of the F2 plants from an inter-subspecific cross between Dasanbyeo (indica) and TR22183 (japonica) were inclined to the indica parent based on SS markers. Significant segregation distortion was found in 41 markers out of 57 SS markers tested in the F2 population.
