보리잎 Saponarin 함량과 항산화성의 품종간 차이

Abstract

This study was conducted to obtain information on the saponarin contents and the antioxidative activities by electrondonating activity(EDA) in barley leaves. Saponarin was identified by standard materials and quantitative analysis was performed byHPLC from barley varieties. The equation of the regresion coeficients for saponarin standard was y=0.0513x-4.6182(r2=0.9982).In ten barley varieties, saponarin contents ranged from 133 mg/10 g to 760 mg/100 g. The content of saponarin was the highest inBunong and the lowest in Namhyangbori. When main leaf of barley had five, the saponarin content was maximum. The antioxida-tive activity, the scavenging activity on DPH(2.2-diphenyl-picryl -hydrazyl) radical of MeOH extracts from barley leaf, was differ-ent acording to cultivars. EDA of barley leaves showed below 3%, below 16% and over 50% when concentration of methanolextract were 0.1%, 0.5% and 1%, respectively. The activity of high saponarin content barley varieties was stronger than that of bar-ley varieties with low saponarin content. The activity of EDA was highly corelated with the saponarin content in leaves of barleyvarieties.
