The subtitling errors in a selected Korean movie and drama currently available on Internet websites in the U.S. were collected and analyzed. Errors in he data were then divided into two groups: Grammatical Errors and Lexical Errors. This paper focuses on the grammatical errors, which were subcategorized into six grammatical groups: Articles, Pluralization, Capitalization, Prepositions, Verbs, and Pronouns. This study hopes to help reduce occurrence of the most common errors made by Korean translators in Korean-English subtitling.
