새터민 여성의 이주로 인한 상실의 극복 체험 - 남한 남성과 결혼한 여성을 중심으로 -

본 연구는 북한에서 남한으로 이주하여 남한 남성과 결혼한 새터민 여성이 이주로 인한 상실을 어떻게 극복하는지 심층적으로 이해하기 위하여 이루어졌다. 연구방법으로 파시(Parse)의 ‘인간되어감(human becoming)' 방법론을 적용하여 체험적 현상의 의미와 구조를 탐색하였다. 2004년 2월-2006년 11월 동안 연구참여자 3명의 새터민 여성과 ‘나와 너의 관계형성’을 통한 대화로 자료 수집을 하였다. 복수의 분석가들이 참여하여 추출과 종합의 분석과정을 거쳤으며 발견적 해석을 시도하였다. 분석결과, 남한 남성과 결혼한 새터민 여성의 이주로 인한 상실 극복의 체험 구조는 ‘북한 가족에게는 자신을 숨기고 남한배우자에게는 과거를 숨기며 기대와 달리 남한에서 의존, 의심, 무시, 불신을 받게 되자, 북한출신과 연계, 신앙생활, 북한인의 정체성을 찾아나서고, 경제 및 학업 활동과 새터민 여성을 돕는 성취를 경험하며 희망을 펼치는 것’으로 나타났다. 이러한 체험의 구조는 파시의 인간되어감 원리들과 연결되어 인간-우주-환경과의 상호작용을 통해 과거와의 단절감과 새로운 삶에 대한 기대와 한계, 미래의 가치와 기회를 통해서 자신을 확장해나가는 상상화와 가치화를 노출-은폐, 가능-제한, 연결-분리의 관계패턴을 가지고 강화, 변형하는 독창성 과정으로 재해석되었다. 이상의 연구결과를 토대로 남한 남성과 결혼한 새터민 여성의 삶과 그들의 이주로 인한 상실의 극복 체험에 대한 사회복지실천적 함의를 논하고 파시 방법론의 의의를 제시하였다.
Abstract
The present study was to discover the structure of universal lived experiences of overcoming migratory loss among North Korean refugee women who got married to South Korean man' of health and quality of life in terms of the socio-cultural context of South Korea. The research question was ‘what is the structure of lived experience of overcoming migratory loss?'which was examined based on the Parse’s human becoming research method. Three North Korean adult women refugees who got married to South Korean man were recruited from NGO like National Reconciliation Committee and citizen's aliances for North Korean human rights, Korea. The data was gathered from dialogical engagement and collected from Feb. 2004 to Nov. 2006. The finding of structural transposition was 'concealing present self to original family in the North and concealing past self to husband in the South, unexpectedly, having been doubted, ignored, untrusted, and overcoming with hope through connecting the North, religion, their own identity, helping Saetamin women in the South, economic activities and learning. And conceptual integration was origination, powering, and transforming the imaging of valuing revealing-concealing, enabling-limiting, and connecting-separating.
