The final sample size was 2,841 married employed persons in South Korea. Analysis methods were multiple regression analysis. The major findings of this study are as follows. First, married employed women showed more higher level of work-family conflict than married employed men. Second, work-family conflict affected significantly negatively marital satisfaction. But married employed women’s work-family conflict was more influential factor to explain the decrease of marital satisfaction than married employed men’s. Third, gender moderated significantly the relationship between work-family conflict and marital satisfaction. The limitations and implications of the findings from this study were discussed with respect to further studies.
