아동복지시설 퇴소청소년의 금융교육과 금융행위에 대한 내러티브 연구

초록

본 연구는 아동복지시설 퇴소청소년들의 금융교육과 금융행위에 대한 내러티브를 분석하고, 이 분석 결과를 바탕으로 이들과 같은 취약 계층 학생들의 금융교육에 시사점을 논의하고자 하는 목적을 가진다. 이를 위해 연구자는 퇴소청소년 세 명과의 심층 면담을 실시하고, 금융교육과 금융행위에 대한 그들의 내러티브를 분석하였다. 결론적으로 세 명의 아동복지지설 퇴소청소년들의 금융교육 경험을 “무관심”, “대리적 관리”, “습관들이기”로, 금융행위는 “욕망의 표출”, “보호막”으로 주제화 할 수 있었다. 이러한 퇴소청소년들의 내러티브는 복지시설 청소년들에게 경험과 과정에 초점을 두는 금융교육이 필요하며, 교육이 이들에게 의미를 갖기 위해서는 교육을 제공하는 교사와 학생의 관계가 친밀함과 신뢰를 바탕으로 이루어져야 한다는 점을 시사하고 있다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the narratives of youths discharged from Child Residential Care regarding their financial education and financial behavior, and to discuss implications for the financial education of so-called disadvantaged class students like them. The researcher conducted in-depth interview with three discharged youths and analyzed their narratives about their financial education and financial behavior. In conclusion, this study found that three youths' financial education can be thematized as "indifference", "represent management", "having a habit" and financial behavior as "expression of the desire", "safety shield". The findings of this study suggest that it is necessary for policymakers to make discharged youths' financial education focusing more on experience and process. And the findings also imply that the education should be based on the intimacy and the trust between the student and the teacher, for this education to be truly meaningful.
