사회과에서 지역화 학습은 국가수준 교육과정의 한계를 보완해 줄 수 있는 중요한 내용 조직 원리로써 활용되어 왔다. 하지만 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 현재의 지역화 학습은 효과적으로 이루어지고 있지 않고 있다. 그 이유는 지역화 교과서가 단편적인 지역 자료를 제시하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 지역에 대한 전문성이 부족한 교사가 적절한 교수‧학습 방법을 활용하지 못하고 있기 때문이다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 지역화 학습의 한계를 보완하기 위해 테크놀로지 활용 수업이 필요하다고 판단하고, 참여, 협력, 공유, 개방으로 특징지어지는 web2.0을 지역화 학습에 적용한 수업 방안을 개발하고자 하였다. 선행연구 분석 결과 web2.0을 적용한 지역화 학습 전략은 세 가지로 도출되었다. 첫째, 학생들은 다양한 사람들과의 상호작용을 통해 지식을 형성해야 한다. 둘째, 학생들이 주도적으로 수업에 참여해야 한다. 셋째, 학생들은 협력적인 과제를 수행해야 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 전략을 적용한 구체적인 지역화 학습 방안으로 디지털 아카이브의 형성, 타 지역 학생들과의 교류, 지역 문제 해결 방안 모색을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This research focuses on web2.0 as a unifying solution for regional learning in social studies. web2.0 is an internet platform and culture that encourages sharing, openness, collaboration, and participation. With web2.0, anyone can easily create new information and work with others to produce collaborative outcomes. This research considers web2.0 to be valuable when integrating technologies into regional learning classes, and suggests the methods of utilizing web2.0 during such classes. By analyzing previous studies, three unified strategies were extracted. First, cooperative knowledges must be created by collaborating with a diverse array of people. Second, instructors must give assignments that are pragmatic, and give students opportunities to use technologies necessary for accomplishing the assignments. Third, classes must be designed that are centered around students’ participation. This research also suggests three cases of regional learning classes using such strategies.
