중등 사회과 예비교사들의 교육실습에 관한 인식 조사

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the secondary Social Studies preservice teachers' perception of the Practice student teaching. In order to make an investigation into the secondary Social Studies preservice teachers' perception, the researcher conduct a survey to ask 56 secondary Social Studies student teachers about the operational conditions and problems of the Practice student teaching in the college of education. The data were analyzed with frequency, chi-square tests and T-tests. Based on the analysis, the following conclusion drawn; First, Social Studies preservice teachers need to be trained for the Practice student teaching, especially for preparing Social Studies subject teaching guidance. Second, Schools and guidance teachers need to give thorough consideration in order to accomodate student teachers and to make appropriate preparation for successful practicum. Third, Universities and schools need to develop a system in order to assign suitable major and proper numbers of student teachers to each school. Fourth, Universities need to study to provide programs in order to reflect the needs of student teachers to be assigned for middle and high school. Fifth, There should be periodic cooperative efforts to be made between universities and school before or after the practicum and certain guidelines or standards for schools to follow. Sixth, The Ministry of Education should develop a system to provide proper financial and administrative supports and incentives for schools and teachers.
