Abstract

This article researches the process to unify the grounds of goodness in Four-Seven Debate. According to this article, one can find out the fact that the concepts of Four and Seven were dissolved in the process to unify the grounds of goodness. whether the group to grip absolute meaning of Four or the other group to emphasize secular meaning of Seven, two groups couldn’t but both destructed the dividing line of Four-Seven and establish new standard of goodness. First, this article researches the core agenda in Toegye, Gobong, and Yulgok’s theories. And then inquires into the debate between Nongam and Namdang and illuminates the process to unify the grounds of goodness. Finally, this considers the debate between Seongho&Habin. According to this article, they substituted Four-Seven for publicness and privateness, and defined the ground of goodness as publicness. Enfin, this article concludes that their all discussions were to terminate Four-Seven Debate and to open new moral emotion theory.
