피나 바우쉬 예술작품과 사회적 관계 고찰 : <러프 컷>을 중심으로

이 연구는 피나 바우쉬의 작품 <러프 컷>이 공연되었던 2005년도를 중심으로, 예술작품과 사회와의 관계를 고찰해보고 이를 소비하는 관객의 시각에서 예술작품에 담긴 의미를 분석하였다. 당시 독일의 예술정책 및 사회문화적 상황을 살펴봄과 동시에 2005년 한국공연의 관객을 대상으로 비구조화된 설문조사를 진행하였다. 2005년 독일 내 경제적 상황이 좋지 않음에도 불구하고 연방주의를 엄격하게 적용하는 문화정책과 NRW주의 탄츠테아터 지원 강화정책으로 인해 부퍼탈 탄츠테아터의 예술 활동은 활발하게 이루어질 수 있었다. 관객들은<러프 컷>을 통해 분단국가, 자본주의 국가 그리고 개발도상국가로서 한국의 모습과 그 이면에 나타난 안무가의 비판적 시각을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 여성의 역할을 제한적으로 표현한 모습도 발견할 수 있었다.
Abstract
This study aimed to review the relationship between artworks and the society and to analyze their meanings in view of audience who consumed them, focusing on the year 2005 when <Rough Cut> a Pina Bausch’s artwork, had been choreographed and performed. To do so, a survey was conducted in the subjects of the performance audiences held in Korea in 2005 together with reviewing the German arts policies and sociocultural atmospheres at that times. Although the economic condition was not great in Germany of 2005, the artistic activities of Tanztheater Wuppertal could be actively performed due to the cultural policy that strictly applied federalism and NRW province’s policy to strengthen the support for Tanztheater. Through <Rough Cut>, the audiences could not only see the look of Korea as a divided country and capitalist country, but also see the choreographer’s critical viewpoint behind it. Also, the women’s roles were limitedly expressed.
