초록

Complex construction, which involves huge construction costs and takes place over a long period of time, carries various risks. In Korea, new airport construction and the improvement of existing airport facilities are ongoing initiatives. Within these projects, accurate cost estimation and effective construction schedule management are critical issues. Based on Bromilow’s statistical time-cost model, this study aims to present a model for calculating the construction period of the airport construction project implementer. This study conducts analysis of variance and regression analysis using data from airport construction work in Korea and verifies the construction cost and period calculation model reflecting the characteristics of airport construction project. The research findings can be summarized as follows. In this study, factors such as the nature of the construction (new construction or remodeling) and the type of construction (construction, civil engineering, machinery, electricity, communication, and firefighting) affect the construction costs of the airport. The results showthat construction costs, areas (air and land side), and types (architecture, machinery, and civil engineering) influence the construction period. Incorporating previous studies, as well as social changes such as reduced working hours and natural factors including climate change, would likely lead to more robust research findings. The derived results can be used to calculate the construction period of airports at the construction planning stage, and it is expected that the risk related to the calculation of the construction periodcan be reduced for stakeholders.
