Abstract
This paper provides empirical research on the determinants of capital structure of unlisted SMEs which have signifcant influence on national economy but did not studied profoundly. Summarizing the results of analysis as following;First hypothesis, size has positive effect on the leverage, but different effects on the short-term leverage and long-term leverage. Second hypothesis, asset intangibillity has positive effect on the leverage and has more stronger positive effect on the long-term leverage than on the short-term leverage. Third hypothesis, profitability does not have any effect on the leverage. Finally, non-debt shield effect also has positvive effect on the leverage, so the more non-debt shield effect, the higher leverage of unlisted SMEs.
