본 연구의 목적은 블록체인 기술특성요인과 혁신확산요인이 지각된 유용성과 지각된 용이성을 매개로 하여 블록체인기술 기반 회계정보시스템의 수용의도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 블록체인의 기술적 특성요인 5가지(보안성, 신뢰성, 다양성, 경제성, 가용성)와 혁신확산요인 5가지(상대적 이점, 관찰 가능성, 복잡성, 시험 가능성, 적합성)를 독립변수로 설정하고, 지각된 유용성과 지각된 용이성을 매개변수로 하여 블록체인 수용의도에 미치는 영향을 실증 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과, 블록체인 기술적 특성 중 보안성과 경제성이 지각된 유용성을 매개로 하여 블록체인 수용의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 혁신확산요인 중 상대적 이점과 관찰가능성이 지각된 유용성을 매개로 하여 블록체인 수용의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과는 블록체인의 보안성에 대한 이해가 높은 경우나 현재 회계시스템보다 기대감이 높을수록 블록체인의 수용의도가 높고, 또한 블록체인의 도입의 효용성을 알고 있거나, 기술 도입효과를 알고 있는 경우 수용의도가 높아짐을 의미한다. 본 연구는 블록체인의 수용의도에 관한 연구가 매우 부족한 상황일 뿐 아니라 수용의도와 관련한 선행연구에서도 물류분야, 의료분야, 금융분야 등에서만 이루어졌을 뿐 회계분야에서 수용의도를 분석한 연구는 거의 없는 현실을 감안할 때, 향후 회계분야의 블록체인 수용 및 확산에 관한 연구의 단서를 제공한다는 점에서 연구의 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify how blockchain technology features and innovation diffusion factors affect acceptance intentions of blockchain technology－based accounting information systems by parameterizing perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Five technical features of blockchain (security, reliability, diversity, economy, availability) and five innovation diffusion factors (relative benefits, observability, complexity, testability, suitability) were set as independent variables, and the effects of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were set as parameters. Empirical analysis has shown that security and economics of blockchain technical characteristics significantly affect blockchain acceptance intentions, and that relative benefits and observability among the innovation diffusion factors have significant effects on blockchain acceptance. These results indicate that the higher the understanding of the security of the blockchain or the higher the expectation than the current accounting system, the more willing the blockchain is, and the more useful the blockchain is introduced, or the more effective the technology is introduced. This study is meaningful in that it provides clues to future research on the acceptance and diffusion of blockchain in accounting, given the fact that research on the acceptance of blockchain in accounting field is very insufficient and that prior research on acceptance was conducted only in logistics, health care, and finance fields.
