초록

Since the enactment of the Military Aircraft Flight Safety Certification Act in 2009, military aircraft airworthiness certification processes have contributed significantly to the development of the aviation industry by ensuring the safety of military aircraft a nd supporting exports. Current airworthiness certification, which focuses on acquiring military aircraft, generally sets and announces the technical standards to be observed, and other internationally used airworthiness certification bases can be applied depending on the business characteristics. Airworthiness certification audits can be categorized into type certification and production confirmation. For formal certification, Parts 1, 2, and 4 are currently established as standard airworthiness certification standards. The detailed areas of military airworthiness audits are classified into 16 categories including system engineering and are attributable to the classification of detailed areas according to “Airworthiness certification standard Part 1,” which a technical standard announced based on MIL-HDBK-516C. Among the 16 specific fields, the system-engineering and system-safety sectors show the most prominent characteristics, which are not observable in other normal airworthiness certification standards. The manner by which system engineering and system safety are adopted when applying the airworthiness certification field is analyzed, excluding the “Airworthiness certification standard Part 1,” and more effective methods to leverage them are suggested.
