초록
Efficient heat dissipation within power supplies protects electrical and electronic components that are susceptible to heat and provides the minimum protection necessary to ensure normal operation, thus rendering heat dissipation a critical factor in product design. Among the power-supply configurations, the RST-10000-24 switched-mode power supply consumes the most power and may generate a significant amount of heat; however, it does not significantly affect the internal temperature as it is equipped with a cooling fan. The XDR-75E-24 switched-mode power supply consumes a high amount of power but does not have its own cooling fan; therefore, it is believed to be the main cause of internal heat generation in the power supply. Fluid analysis is conducted with the distance between mid-the surface and fan inside the power supply as a variable based on the temperature distribution centered on the heat source. Results for distances ranging from a minimum of 130mm to a maximum of 200mm are obtained, and the optimal distance is shown to be 170mm.
