사회복지사 교양역량 강화를 위한 문제중심학습(PBL)의 도입 연구

2000년대에 들어서게 되면서 사회복지의 정체성 위기가 한국사회복지학회의 기획 주제가될 정도로 이르게 되어 사회복지 교육에 있어 많은 도전 과제들을 안게 되었다. 이런 사실에도 불구하고 학문·실천적 정체성의 측면과 사회복지 교육 측면에서도 위기감은 줄어들기는커녕 오히려 증가하고 있다. 현 사회복지와 관련된 대학교육은 교육의 질 및 효과를 생각지 않고, 단순하게 관련 정보를 다방면으로 습득하는 지식의 양적 팽창이 지속되고 있는 실정이다. 사회 요구의 다변화에 따라 사회복지사들은 실천중심 역량과 전문성의 역량이 필수적인 가치가 되었지만, 현재 사회복지사 양성 교육과정은 이를 충당하지 못하고 있다. 이에, 본 연구자는 문제중심학습을 통한 사회복지사의 교양역량 강화 교육과정을 대안으로 제시하였다. 문제중심학습은 다양한 문제 상황에 대한 해결력을 길러주고, 자기주도학습능력을 길러 주며, 비판적 사고와 소통과 존중, 협력의 가치를 학습시켜주는 교육방법으로서 현 시대 패러다임에맞는 사회복지사들의 교육 방법의 틀로서 활용 가능할 것으로 보인다.
Abstract
In the 2000s, the identity crisis of social welfare reached the level of planning for the Korean Society of Social Welfare, which brought many challenges to social welf are education. Despite this fact, the sense of crisis is increasing rather than decrea sing in terms of academic and practical identity and social welfare education. Current ly, the university education related to social welfare does not consider the quality a nd effectiveness of education, and the quantitative expansion of knowledge that simply acquires relevant information in a variety of cafes continues. With the diversificatio n of social needs, social workers have become essential values of competency in practi ce and professionalism, but the current curriculum for nurturing social workers does n ot cover them. Therefore, this researcher suggested the social worker training course through problem-based learning as an alternative. Problem-based learning is an educati on method for social workers to cultivate solutions to a variety of problem situation s, self-directed learning skills, and learn critical thinking, communication, respect, and cooperation. It seems to be able to be used as a framework for the educational met hods of welfare workers.
