A contract work needs a contract amendment more than any other contracts because it takes a long period and is affected by environments to complete works. However it is not permitted to amend a contract according to the changed contract surrounds for the rule 'pacta sund servenda' which is classical contract theory. This study is trying to find the grounds through the materials of foreign nations(Germen, France, USA, Japan, or whatever). This comparative law study shows that a contract amendment is needed in a long period contract like a constructive work contract. The main current of world is to recognize a contract reformation by legal theory or amendment of law.
