초록
본고는 사회문화자본이라는 개념을 당대 중국의 현실문제에 투사해 봄으로써 이것의 방법론적 가능성을 탐문해 보고자 한 일종의 시론이다. 검토에 의하면 사회문화자본의 문제는 ‘중국의 경험’과 ‘향촌건설’, 코로나사태와 거버넌스 개혁 등 당대 중국의 굵직한 현안을 관통하고 있다. 이는 이른바 ‘중국문제’의 심층을 보아낼 수 있는 방법론적 경로가 될 뿐 아니라 중국적 현대성을 해명하는 데에도 유효한 앵글이 되는 것처럼 보인다. 나아가 이는 ‘두 개의 백 년’에서 ‘중국몽’에 이르기까지 향후 중국의 행보를 가늠해보는 데에도 적지 않은 유용성을 지니고 있는 것처럼 보인다. 지금까지 중국문화연구는 정태적이고 구조론적인 접근을 위주로 수행되었다. 그러나 지구촌의 화두가 되어있는 최근 중국의 현실은 ‘중국문화자본’ 같은 동태적이고 생성적인 계기에 대한 적극적인 발굴과 해석을 기다리고 있다.
Abstract
This thesis is a kind of essay aiming to inquire the methodological possibility of sociocultural capital by projecting its concept on the realistic problems of contemporary China. According to the review by this thesis, the issue of sociocultural capital is penetrating the important pending issues of contemporary China such as ‘experience of China’, ‘construction of country village’, and ‘Corona state and governance reform’. This becomes not only a methodological path showing the depths of so-called ‘Chinese problems’, but also an effective angle to explain Chinese modernity. Moreover, this angle seems to have the substantial usefulness to judge the future actions of China such as ‘Two Separate Hundred Years’ and ‘Chinese Dream’. So far, the existing researches on Chinese culture have focused on the static and structural approaches. However, the reality of recent China which becomes a conversation topic in the global village is waiting for the active discovery and interpretation of dynamic and generative opportunities like ‘Chinese cultural capital’.
