대구지역 일부 보육교사의 구강건강 지식, 행태 및 유아 구강건강 관리 실태

이연구는보육교사의구강건강 지식, 구강건강관리행태, 보육시설의구강건강관리방침, 보육교사의구강보건 교육경험과 함께 보육시설의 전반적인 유아구강건강관리 실태를 파악하고자 실시하였다. 편의로 추출한 대구광역시 북구 소재 어린이집 42 곳에종사하는 보육교사를대상으로 2012년4월 8일부터 4월 28일까지 자기기입식 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 총 193부를 최종 분석대상으로 하였다. 구강건강 지식점수는 20점 만점에 평균 12.3점이었고, 구강건강관리 행태점수는 60점 만점에 40.5점이었으며, 구강건강교육을 받은 경험이 있는 경우에지식 및 행태 점수가 더 높았다. 일부 보육교사들은 식후 칫솔질을 시키지 않거나(4.1%), 단 음식보상(22.8%) 등 기본적인구강건강관리도 미흡하였으며, 간식 후 칫솔질을 시키는 비율은32.5%에 불과하였는데, 시간 부족이 가장큰 이유였다. 어린이집 교사의 구강건강교육 경험은 식후 칫솔질, 칫솔상태 점검, 칫솔질 지도와 통계적으로 유의한 관련성이 있었다. 어린이집 유아 구강건강관리 방침이 있는 경우에 유아 구강건강관리 제공 실태가 더 양호하였다. 대부분의 보육교사가 구강건강교육이 필요하다고 하였고 , 바람직한교육자로는보건소구강보건담당자, 가장 받고 싶은 교육 내용은 칫솔질방법이 가장 많았다. 바람직한 유아 구강건강관리 제공을 위해 어린이집보육교사를 대상으로 유아 구강건강관리교육을 실시하고 보육시설의 유아 구강건강관리에 대한 방침을 수립하도록 하는 등 지원방안을 마련하고 관련 제도를 정비해 나가는 것이 필요 할 것이다.
Abstract
Objectives: This research was conducted to identify the status of oral care services in nursery schools including teachers' knowledge and behavior, guidelines, and education for teachers. Methods: A self-administered questionnaire survey in 42 nursery schools located in Buk-gu,Daegu was conducted from April 8 to April 28, 2012, and 193 nursery school teachers completed the questionnaire. Results: The average score for knowledge and behavior on oral health was 12.3 points out of 20and 40.5 out of 60 respectively. Teachers who attended oral health education programs scored higher for knowledge and behavior. Some teachers showed inadequate behaviors for oral health care: 4.1% of the teachers answered they don't have children toothbrush after lunch; 22.8% provide sweets as rewards. Only 32.5%have children toothbrush after snacks, for which lack of time was responsible in most cases. Teacher's participation in oral health education is statistically relevant to their attention toward children's tooth brushing behaviors like frequency, cleanness, and brushing methods, Any guidelines for children's oral health in nursery schools improves the health care service. Most of the nursery teachers needed oral health education and preferred a personnel from public health centers as educator. Tooth brushing method was the most frequently requested subject for education. Conclusions: In conclusion, it will be necessary to establish and improve proper policies so that nursery school teachers can take appropriate oral health education and nursery schools be provided with guidelines for children's oral health care.
