知行合一의 관점에서 본 왕양명의 심 본체론

이 글은 왕양명의 지행합일 사상과 심 본체론의 관계를 다룬 것이다. 본론은 두 부분으로 구성되었다. 먼저 지행합일 사상을 다룬 부분에서는 그것의 시대적ㆍ사상적 배경과 주요 내용 및 특징을 서술하였다. 이 과정에서 지행이 통합되었을 때 지(知)의 본질과 특징이 어떻게 전환되는지를 상세하게 분석하였다. 그리고 심 본체론을 서술한 부분에서는 지행합일의 전제 아래 심신의 다양한 기능과 속성들에 대한 왕양명의 견해들, 곧 지향성, 감각, 지각, 그리고 양지 등에 대한 견해들을 분석하고 고찰하였다. 이를 통해서 그가 제시한 지(知)의 본질과 특징이 체화된 인지, 실천지, 그리고 자기지를 가리킨다는 점을 해명하였다. 왕양명이 이처럼 지행합일 사상을 최종적으로 치양지라는 체용일원의 본체로 발전시킨 까닭은 심성론의 관점에서 본체와 공부를 근본적으로 통일하여 지행이 이원화될 수 있는 가능성과 문제점을 근본적으로 차단하는데 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is centering on elucidating the relation between ‘Knowing and Action is One’ and ‘Original Mind’ theory in WangYangMing’s philosophy. The body part is consisted of two main contents. the first part is described as the main contents and characteristics about the contemporary and ideological backgrounds of ‘Knowing and Action is One’ theory. Here author try to how knowing’s nature and characteristic change in detail when knowing and action are integrated into one. The next part is about WangYangMing’s ‘Original Substance’ theory. He discussed about the correlation of mind-body, and presented various views about mind-heart‘s original substance and functions, namely sense, feeling, perception, intentionality, Liang-Zhi(the innate moral sense) and Liang-Neng(the innate moral action ability) on the basis of the single unity of knowing and action. Through this course, he explained knowing as a sort of embodied recognition, or practical knowledge. In addition to this, the true reason he presented ‘the mind’s substance and function originally has one source’ argument, and at the same time explained the unity of knowing and action with that, is to emphasize on acquiring the self-knowledge in the course of study, and further fundamentally to dissolve the separability of knowing and action.
