이탈리아 가곡 및 가요의 노랫말 구조에 관한 연구

본 연구는 이탈리아어 노랫말의 구조적 특징을 분석하는데 목표를 두고 그와 가장 가까운 리듬구조를 갖고 있는 언어인 스페인어와 비교하는 한편, 음악적으로도 가곡이나 가요 같은 장르의 차이를 넘어 비교분석해 보려고 시도했다. 그 일환으로 채택한 곡은 가요 ‘La novia’와 가곡 ‘Va, pensiero'이다. 이 두 가지 언어와 곡을 비교하는 과정에서 음악 장르의 차이나 언어의 차이로 인해 발생하는 구조적 문제나 기타 특이사항을 찾아내지는 못했다. 그럼에도 불구하고 노랫말의 강세는 곡조의 셈여림구조나 멜로디 구조 그리고 음의 길이와 같은 리듬구조에 밀접한 상관관계가 있음을 다시 확인할 수 있었다. 즉, 셈여림 구조면에서는 강세음절이 일반적으로 센박에 배당되고, 멜로디 구조면에서는 노랫말의 강세음절은 대체적으로 보다 높은 음이나 보다 긴 음에 배당됨으로써, 언어의 강세가 음의 세기, 높이, 길이와 매우 긴밀한 상관관계를 맺고 있음이 확인된 것이다. 이런 사실로 미루어 볼 때 스페인어와 이탈리아어는 같은 운율 구조를 갖고 있다고 단언해도 좋을 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims to compare the structure of rhythm between Spanish and Italian. The western languages such as Spanish and Italian have their own phonetic rhythm system. But the Koreans are not very accustomed to the western languages' rhythm structure, because in Korean there cannot be found the same or similar accentual system to the western languages. Spanish as well as Italian belong to the western Romance languages which commonly bring the tonal accent system. From this standpoint it can be said that Spanish and Italian are the most rhythmical and musical languages, and we need to pay attention firstly to the suprasegmental phonetic system and secondly to the correlation between the linguistic system and the music system. The fundamental concepts of musical structure involve such factors as rhythmic and pitch organization, dynamic and timbral differentiation, etc. Among the three major elements of the music -melody, rhythm and harmony- we have to pay a special attention to the first two, because the two are very closely related with the accent position of the words of song, and hereby we describe in detail about the organization of metrical and structural accents as well as their application to the instructional method.
