초록
This study aimed to develop a low-cost ultrasound kidney phantom using 3D printing technology, capable of replicating various echo characteristics required in ultrasound diagnostics. Materials such as agar, glycerol, polyurethane rubber, benzalkonium chloride, silicon carbide, and alumina, commonly used in the creation of tissue-mimicking materials, were combined to simulate the acoustic properties of kidney tissue and lesions. The fabricated kidney phantom effectively reproduced the echo characteristics of the renal parenchyma and renal sinus and successfully simulated various lesion-specific echoes, including hypoechoic, hyperechoic, isoechoic, mixed echo, and anechoic features. The low-cost phantom developed in this study can be applied in performance evaluation of ultrasound diagnostic equipment, as well as for the training and education of healthcare professionals. Its economic advantages suggest that it can be widely utilized in both clinical and educational settings.
