유아발달에 관한 학술지 논문의 연구 경향 탐색

본 연구는 유아발달 연구의 중요성에 입각하여 유아발달 관련 연구가 전반적으로 어떻게 진행되어 왔으며 또 그 방법론상의 특징은 무엇인지를 유아발달 관련 논문 분석을 통해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 1991년부터 2003년까지 발간된 학술지 중 한국한술진흥재단에 등재 및 등재후보인 정기학술지 여섯 종을 중심으로 발달관련 논문 265편을 발췌하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 유아발달연구의 주제 및 대상의 경향 분석 결과, 연구주제는 사회성발달이 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였으며, 연구의 대상은 유아대상 연구가 월등히 많은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 연구설계 및 유형 분석 결과, 연구설계는 대부분이 횡단적 접근법을 사용하였고, 연구의 유형은 양적연구가 많은 비중을 차지하고 있었다. 셋째, 연구방법의 경향 분석결과, 관련변인으로 유아자신변인 연구가 가장 많으며, 자료수집경향은 양적연구에서는 검사법과 관찰법이 주로 사용되었으며, 표집크기는 50～100인 경우, 질적연구에서는 참여관찰과 면접법이 적용되었으며, 표집크기는 21～50인 경우가 가장 많았다. 연구결과와 관련하여 유아발달연구에 대한 전반적 방향에 대해 논의하고 제언하였다.
Abstract
This study analyzes the general trend in developmental research conducted in the area of early childhood education. For this purpose, total 265 developmental articles were selected from the 6 Korean academic journals published from 1991 to 2003 in the field of early childhood education. The results of this study are as follows. First. in content and subject sampling, social development was most frequently studied, and young children were the most frequent sampled population. Second, cross-sectional approach and experimental research were the most frequently applied research design and type. Third. the research method found in most of the developmental articles studied concerned young children and two variables. And tests were most frequently applied in data collection methods.
