성경동화 활동이 유아의 신앙 발달과 친사회적 행동발달에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 유아의 성경동화 활동을 구성하고 이를 현장에 적용해 유아의 신앙개념과 친사회적 행동 발달에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 밝히는데 목적을 두고 있다. 성경동화 중에서 유아의 신앙과 친사회적 행동을 증진시키는 내용을 선정하여 8주 동안 P대학 부속 유치원 유아 만 5세 반 60명을 대상으로 비교집단과 실험집단으로 나누어 16회를 실시하였다. 그 결과 성경동화 활동은 유아의 신앙 발달 증진에 있어서 긍정적인 효과가 있으며, 하위변인별 신앙내용개념에 있어서 예수님에 대한 믿음과 부활 개념, 하늘나라의 개념, 기도 개념 및 용서 개념에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다 그리고 유아의 친사회적 행동인 도와주기, 나눠주기, 친사회적인 추론, 감정이입의 증진에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Abstract

This paper analyzes the effects of Bible Story Activity on the development of young children's religious faith and pro-social behaviors. We used Bible Story Activity and materials based on Fowler's (1981) and Goldman's (1964) faith theories. We also used Eisenberg's (1997) pro-social behavior theory for our analysis. We used Bible Story Activity with five-year-old children for 8 weeks in a preschool education center affiliated with Pai-Chai University. Sixty children were divided evenly into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group had 16 sessions with Bible Story Activity. The results of our study show that the experimental group achieved significantly higher points than the control group on items designating their faith in Jesus Christ and his resurrection, the kingdom of God, prayer and forgiveness. The pro-social behavior analysis also showed that the experimental group exhibited more positive pro-social behaviors in areas such as helping, sharing, pro-social reasoning and empathizing and the like. Bible Story Activity proved to be a very useful and effective educational method for Christian preschool education centers and the teaching of Christian principles. The study concludes with a discussion and some suggestions for further study in Christian education methods.
