구성주의 이론에 기초한 유아교사 양성교육이 예비 유아교사에게 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구는 구성주의 이론에 기초한 유아교사 양성교육이 예비 유아교사들에게 어떠한 영향을 주는지 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구의 구성주의 이론에 기초한 교사 양성교육방법으로 수업사례활동, 모의수업, 수업 분석, 저널쓰기 등이 활용되었으며 총 15주간의 수업을 통해 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 본 연구의 참여자는 k지역 4년제 대학의 ‘교과교육론’ 수강생인 3학년 예비 유아교사 22명으로 한 학기동안 진행되었다. 연구결과, 구성주의 이론에 기초한 유아교사 양성교육은 첫째, 예비 유아교사에게 유아교사로서 새로운 인식의 변화를 경험하게 하였다. 둘째, 구성주의에 기초한 유아교사 양성교육을 통해 예비 유아교사들은 교수방법에 변화를 가져온 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 구성주의에 기초한 유아교사 양성교육은 예비 유아교사들에게 반성적 사고의 기회를 제공함으로써 유아교사의 신념체제에 변화를 경험하게 하였다. 이상과 같은 연구의 결과는 구성주의에 기초한 유아교사 양성교육이 예비 유아교사의 인식적인 측면, 교수방법적인 측면, 신념적인 측면에서 긍정적인 영향을 준 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 본 연구는 예비교사를 위한 교사양성교육의 틀을 새롭게 구성하는데 바람직한 방향을 제시함을 시사해 준다.

Abstract

This research was undertaken to verify the predicted positive effects of constructivist education on the perceptions, beliefs and teaching behaviors of preservice teachers. Class case activities, simulated class, class analysis, journal writing were among the constructivist teaching tools used for one semester with a class of 22 preservice teaching juniors at a four-year university located in the K area. Analyses of the process reveal that constructivist education (1) caused the preservice teaching students to experience a new perceptual view of teaching young children, (2), change their teaching method and, (3) engage in the kind of reflective thinking that leads to a change in belief systems. These findings reveal that constructivist education can positively affect aspects of perception, teaching methods and personal beliefs in preservice teachers. Therefore, this research supports constructivist education as a desirable direction in organizing a new framework for preservice teacher training.
