포커스 집단 인터뷰를 통한 유아기 행복의 구성요인과 측정방법 탐색

본 연구는 유아의 행복을 구성하는 요인을 탐색하고 유아기 행복을 측정할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 기초자료의 추출을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 첫째, 유아의 행복관련 선행연구분석을 토대로 유아기 행복을 구성하는 요인과 내용범주별 개념을 추출하여 반구조화된 설문지를 제작하였다; 긍정정서, 부정정서, 강점, 몰입, 주의집중, 참여, 신체건강, 정서적 안정, 자아실현, 회복탄력성, 관계 등 열 한 가지 요인. 둘째, 유아교육전문가 및 행복연구자 9명을 대상으로 4회의 포커스 집단 인터뷰를 실시하여 유아기 행복을 구성하는 요인과 측정요인의 적합성 및 타당성 확인하였다. 그 결과 유아기 행복측정을 위한 탐색요인은 정서, 몰입과 참여, 신체건강, 정신건강, 관계 다섯 가지 요인과 전반적인 유아의 생활만족 요인을 추가한 여섯 가지로 범주로 구성하였으며 각 요인의 하위요인으로 구성된 문항 총 45개를 추출하였다. 또한 유아행복교육전문가를 대상으로 한 포커스 집단 인터뷰를 통해 현장의 적용성과 객관적 타당성이 높은 유아기 행복측정방법으로 생활 영역별 제 3자 평정법임을 밝혔다. 이러한 연구결과는 소수의 전문가를 대상으로 실행했기 때문에 대표성의 한계는 있지만 전문가들의 관점에 대한 심도 있는 논의에 기초한 유아기 행복 측정의 기초 자료를 제공하여 유아기 행복측정 연구의 방안을 모색했다는데 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to get insights and data from the experts in the field of Early Childhood Education and happiness studies for exploring constructive components and measurement method of happiness of young children. The research carried out focus group interview, one of qualitative research methods for the subjet of 9 participants based on their career in the field of Early Childhood Education as a teacher or professor, presence or participation in training programs for children’s happiness education, an interest in happiness education or exploring youn children’s better lives. The study consists of 2 stages. Firstly the study produced a semi constructed questionnaire through the analysis of the previous studies on happiness and happiness education of young children. The constructive contents were classified and the appropriate method for measuing happiness of young children were verified through the 2 sets of focus group interviews with 6 participants. Secondly the study explored the valid method and organized the items to measure happiness of young children through the other 2 sets of focus group interviews. The results of this study were as follows; 5 componests of the young childrens happiness were found; emotion, engagement and achievements, physical well-being, mental well-being, relations. the third-party observation and assessment methods were found useful to measure children’s happiness and total 45 items were organized to measure children’s happiness.
