Abstract

The present study examined the relationship between life satisfaction and strength use in fixed mindset and growth mindset, and investigated the moderating effect of mindsets on the relationship. Data from 225 surveys were analyzed. For the analysis, SPSS window version 22.0 and PROCESS macro version 3.5.3 were used. As a result of the study, first, there were positive correlations between life satisfaction, strength use and growth mindset. Second, the interaction term between life satisfaction and growth mindset had a positive effect on strength use, and thus the moderating effect of growth mindset on the relationship between life satisfaction and strength use was verified. The conditional effects of life satisfaction according to the moderating variable value were significant when the growth mindset was low(M-1SD) and average(M). The results indicate that the lower the growth mindset, the higher the conditional effect of life satisfaction. This result is intended to be used as a model for strength use using the growth mindset of the early childhood teacher.
