위험감수놀이에 대한 어린이집 교사의 인식 및 운영에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 위험감수놀이에 대한 어린이집 교사들의 인식 및 운영을 파악하며, 위험감수놀이 확산에 도움을 주는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이에 위험감수놀이에 대한 어린이집 교사의 개인적 특성에 따른 인식은 어떠하며, 위험감수놀이 운영, 장애요인 및 활성화 방안을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 어린이집에 재직 중인 유아교사 7명을 연구 참여자를 선정하여, 2021 년 1월 18일부터 2021년 3월 15일까지 면담이 이루어졌다. 이를 분석한 연구 결과는 다음과같다. 첫째, 교사들은 위험감수놀이에 대한 인식은 부족했으나, 위험감수놀이가 유아들에게 필요하다고 하였다. 위험감수놀이에 영향을 끼치는 교사의 특성은 교사의 성장과정 및 부모의 양육방식, 위험에 대한 태도, 교사의 성별로 나타났다. 둘째, 기관에서의 위험감수놀이는 충분히이루어지지 않고 있었다. 위험감수놀이 실시 시 어려움은 학부모, 동료교사와의 의견 차이, 기관의 철학 및 환경으로 나타났다. 또한 위험감수놀이를 활성화하기 위한 방안으로는 위험에 대한 사회 인식 개선과 학부모, 교사, 기관이 놀이 학습공동체 형성을 통한 실천적인 노력이 필요함을 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to understand the perception and the actual condition regarding the risky play by the childcare center teachers, and to help promote the risky play in the field. The perception of the risky play was examined according to the personal characteristics of childcare center teachers, and the actual condition of risky play and obstacles and revitalization measures were observed. The result of the study are as follows. First, although teachers did not have enough awareness of the risky play, they agreed that the risky play is necessary for children. The teacher’s perception of the risky play was influenced by their growth, parents up-bringing and gender. Second, teachers who participated in the research stated that children’s risky play has not been implemented enough at childcare centers. The difficulties that teachers face when the risky play were opinion differences with the children’s parents or fellow teachers, the institution's philosophy and environment. They also responded that as a way to revitalize risky play, it is necessay to improve social awareness of risk and to make practical efforts by building a learning community of parents, teachers, and childcare centers.
