저출산에 대한 여대생의 인식 및 심리적 이해

초록

본 연구는 여대생 286명을 대상으로 출산의향 자녀수를 알아보았다. 또한 출산의향 자녀수와 심리적 변인과의 관련성을 살펴보고, 저출산 현상 원인과 대책에 대한 인식을 파악하였다. 연구결과, 여대생의 출산의향 자녀수는 무자녀가 5.9%, 1명이 8.4%, 2명이 57.3%, 3명 이상이 27.6%로 나타났다. 여대생을 대상으로 출산의향 자녀수와 심리적 변인(어머니와의 관계 만족도, 형제와의 관계 만족도, 삶의 만족도, 우울, 불안, 외로움, 자존감)과의 관련을 살펴보면, 무자녀나 1명을 출산할 의향이 있는 여대생은 자녀를 2명이상 출산할 의향이 있는 여대생에 비해, 어머니, 형제와의 관계에 대해 불만족하고, 삶에 대한 만족도가 더 낮고, 더 불안하고 우울하며, 외로움을 더 많이 느꼈다. 그리고 무자녀나 1명을 출산할 의향이 있는 여대생은 2명 이상을 출산할 의향이 있는 여대생에 비해 부모와 불안정 애착 비율이 더 높았다. 또한 심리적 변인이 출산의향 자녀수에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 어머니와의 관계만족도 변인이 출산의향 자녀수에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었다. 이러한 결과는 여대생이 어머니, 형제와의 관계 경험이 좋고 정신건강 상태가 안정적일수록 자녀관계를 긍정적으로 예측하게 되어 출산의향 자녀수에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것이다. 한편, 여대생은 저출산 현상의 원인으로 자녀 양육비용의 부담감(47.2%), 본인의 취업과 자기발전(11.5%), 여성의 출산 및 육아담당 책임에 대한 부담감(9.1%) 순으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 저출산 현상에 대한 대책으로는 자녀 1인당 고정액수의 현금지원(19.9%), 저렴한 보육시설 서비스의 확대(15.7%), 기업체의 육아휴직 등 기업의 협조(14.3%), 여성 노동자에 대한 불평등 해소(14%)순으로 나타났다.

Abstract

This study examines the interrelation between personal psychological variables and the number of intention childbirth possibility. The targets are 286 women university students. The result shows that university students are willing to have more children as their satisfactory level for their present life is high, anxiety and loneliness degree are low, and as they are content with their relationship with mothers. It can be concluded that university students a expect positive parent-child relationship as their relationship between parents and children has been good and mental health status is stable, thus leads to have positive effect in the number of intention childbirth possibility and recommended number of childbirth.
