Abstract
The purpose of this study is to simultaneously use self-evaluation and peer evaluation to prevent free rides in online team learning for one semester, and to find out how the difference in perception of team members' role performance and conflict occurs is different according to the matching types of the two evaluations. As subjects of this study, 173 students taking an elective course in C university in Seoul, which offers four-year degree programs, participated in the study. In the process of progression over sixteen weeks, a collaborative learning of the online team was classified into groups based on the results of peer evaluation and self-evaluation, and according to the groups of the types of agreement (agreement group in good score, agreement group in bad score, over-estimator, and under-estimator), In order to find out whether there is a difference in perception of the member's role performance and conflict occurrence, a comparison between groups was conducted by analyzing the contents of qualitative answers to the reasons. In the agreement group in good score, the findings of the study showed that the role as a leader was played well enough and active commitment, responsibility, and good atmosphere were formed. The over-estimator showed dissatisfaction, conflict, and self-centered attitude toward the team. Conflicts were mainly generated in the over-estimator than in other groups and among them, task conflict was mainly found. The under-estimator showed an attitude to make an effort and act thoughtfully for a good team atmosphere while collaborating, characteristics of trying to maintain good relationships among the team members, expressions of gratitude and affirmation, modesty, and good relationships among the team members. The agreement group in bad score showed a passive attitude toward the team learning and low confidence in the learning. Based on these findings, the necessity of a strategy for differentiated teachers was presented and discussed according to the types of agreement between self-evaluation and peer evaluation in order that they could lead an efficient team activity in the team learning suited to the agreeement types of both evaluations.
