본고는 북한문학에서 프로시의 위상과 가치를 다루었다. 첫째, 북한의 시기별 조선문학사에서 프로시의 지위와 역할의 변화 문제, 둘째, 주체문학론의 등장 이후 프로시의 확충 및 혁명문학의 절대화에 따른 지위 하락에 주목하였다. 북한의 조선문학사(전 15권)와 현대조선문학선집 등을 보면, 프로시의 위상이 꽤 높아진 듯하며, 그동안 문학사 서술에서 배제되거나 실종되었던 시인과 작품이 상당히 복원되었고 그에 대한 평가도 대체로 긍정적이다. 하지만 이런 변화는 주체문학에 의한 김일성과 항일혁명문학의 절대화, 1920～30년대 작품을 발굴하여 문학사를 풍성히 하라는 김일성의 교시, 인민성과 계급성에 기반한 민족제일주의의 영향에 의한 것이다. 요컨대 프로시와 근대시 일반에 대한 미학적 평가의 변화가 초래한 지형이 아니라 항일혁명문학과 주체사상을 정점에 두고 프로시와 근대시를 그 아래 배치하는 정치적 의식의 결과물인 것이다. 하지만 필자는 이런 정치성의 과잉이 오히려 근대시와 프로시의 미학성을 강조하는 역설이 발생한다고 보았다. 이런 효과를 유지하기 위해서 한국 프로시 연구의 다양성과 지속적인 텍스트의 발굴과 정리, 북한문학자들과의 학술적 교류가 더욱 필요함을 강조했다.
Abstract
This study dealt with the prestige and value of pro-poetry in North Korean literature. First, it focused on changes in the position and role of pro poetry in History of Chosun literature according to North Korea’s period, and second, expansion of pro-poetry after Juche-Munhak(주체문학) and lower position according to absoluteness of revolutionary literature. When looking at North Korean History of Chosun literature(a total of 15) and Chosun modern literary collections, the prestige of pro-poetry seems to be higher, and poets and works that were excluded and disappeared in the description of literature history are significantly restored and its evaluation is mostly positive. However, such changes are affected by Kim Il-sung by Juche-Munhak(주체문학), absoluteness of revolutionary literature against the Japanese rule, Kim Il-sung’s instruction emphasizing the expansion of a literature history by finding out works between the 1920s and 1930s, and ‘Minjok Che'il Ideology’(our nation first ideology) based on the people and the class. In short, it is not resulted from the changes in aesthetic evaluation about pro poetry and modern poetry but the outcome of political consciousness placing revolutionary literature against the Japanese literature and Juche-Sasang(주체사상) to the climax and placing pro-poetry and modern poetry under it. However, this writer considers the excessive politics rather causes a paradox emphasizing aesthetics of modern and pro-poetry. To maintain such an effect, this writer more highlighted the need of diverse studies on Korean pro-poetry, constant development and arrangement of the text, and academic exchanges with North Korean scholars.
