대학생의 경조성 성격과 경계선 성격에 따른 군집유형과 정서반응성 및 대인관계 유능성의 차이

초록

본 연구는 대학생의 경조성 성격과 경계선 성격의 특성으로 구성된 군집유형 간의 정서반응성과 대인관계 유능성을 비교하여 경조성 성격의 하위유형과 그 특징을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 광주광역시와 전라남도 소재 4년제 대학교 재학 중인 남녀 학생 550명을 대상으로 경조성 성격 척도(HPS), 경계선 성격장애 척도(PAI-BOR), 정서반응성척도(ERS), 대인관계 유능성 척도(K-ICQ)를 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 경조성 성격과 경계선 성격을 군집 변인으로 하여 Hair와 Black(2000)이 제안한 2단계 군집분석을 실시하였으며, 그 결과 경조성 우세 집단, 경계선 우세 집단, 혼합집단, 보통집단의 4개 집단이 도출되었다. 군집유형 별 정서반응성과 대인관계 유능성의 차이가 있는지 일원변량분석(ANOVA)과 사후검증(Scheffe)을 실시한 결과, 정서반응성에서 가장 취약한 집단은 ‘혼합집단’이었으며, 대인관계 유능성에서 ‘경조성 우세 집단’이 가장 높았고, ‘경계선 우세 집단’이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 경조성 성격이 단독으로 우세한 경우와 경계선 성격 특성과 동반 상승한 경우 정서반응성과 대인관계유능성에서 차이가 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의 및 대학생 상담 실제에 미치는 시사점에 대하여 논의하였다.

Abstract

This study investigates the adaptative characteristics of hypomanic personality compared to borderline personality. This defines what sorts of clusters are composed in accordance with the tendencies towards hypomanic personality and borderline personality and verifies the differences of emotional reactivity and interpersonal competence between clusters. Participants include 512 university students in Gwangju and Jeollanam Do. They answered a questionnaire under a guidance with purpose of this study informed. Data were analysed by SPSS 21.0 and K-means cluster analysis verified four types of clusters: hypomanic-dominant, borderline-dominant, intermixed, and average. One-way ANOVA and Scheffe post hoc were conducted. As the results, intermixed group shows the highest emotional reactivity and average group shows the lowest. Emotional reactivity of borderline-dominant group appears higher than that of hypomanic-dominant group. Interpersonal competence is the highest in hypomanic-dominant group and the lowest in the borderline-dominant group. Counseling university students who have hypomanic tendency could refer to this findings.
