경찰대학 운영체제의 재정립 방안

Abstract

This study is to redefine the operational system for Korea National Police University. The university has faced up various criticisms in relation to its roles and functions since it has increased its departments of general studies, quite different from the original purposes. Furthermore, it couldn't react properly to the variety of criminal phenomena so rampant in the modern Korean society. Accordingly, it is time to ponder on the new roles or functions of the university to be revitalized effectively to respond to the cultural and environmental changes surrounding the university. For the purpose of it, various considerations should be placed selectively or correspondingly on such policies as exploration of new models, new roles/functions, or closure of the university in the case of the worst situation. Here the study reviews the statistical data and bibliographical literatures, examines the recent variation of new scholastic environment and the reactionary discrepancy on the side of the university, and based on the data-oriented exploration, suggests the new directions of desirable roles and functions of the university.
