본 논문의 목적은 생태 문제를 극복하기 위한 방안으로 ‘생태 시민성’에 주목하여 2022 개정 음악과 교육과정과 연결짓고, 실제 고등학교 음악교육 현장에 적용할 수 있는 음악 수업 방안을 연구해 보는 것이다. 생태 시민성 함양을 위한 음악 수업은 소리를 매개로 하여 나와 생태를 연결하고, 세계 속에 존재한 나를 신체의 여러 감각을 통해 새롭게 재발견함으로써 삶을 전환하여 책임있고 주체적인 생태 시민으로서의 삶을 살아가는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위하여 관계지향적이고, 감각적이며, 실천적이고, 성찰적인 음악 수업을 지향점으로 하고, 지구 환경 문제와 관련한 범교과적인 주제를 선정하여 인식하기, 음악하기, 참여하기, 성찰하기의 4단계에 걸친 세 가지의 프로젝트 기반 학습을 제안하였다. 학생들은 세 가지의 프로젝트를 통해 여러 생태적 이슈들을 음악적으로 풀어나가면서 다소 모호하고 추상적으로 느껴지던 생태 문제를 명료하게 인식하고, 위기에 공감하며, 자신이 지구를 위해 무엇을 해야 하는지, 어떠한 역할을 해야 하는지 등에 대해 끊임없이 성찰함으로써 이것이 결국 나의 일임을 깨닫게 되고, 생태 시민으로의 또 다른 나로 성장해 나가게 된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to focus on ‘ecological citizenship’ as a way to overcome the ecological problems, to connect it with the 2022 revised music and curriculum, and to study music instruction plans that can be applied to the actual high school music education field. Music classes to foster ecological citizenship aim to live a life as a responsible and independent ecological citizen by connecting me with ecology through sound and rediscovering me newly through various senses of the body. To this end, relationship-oriented, sensual, praxial, and reflective music classes were targeted, and cross-curricular topics related to global environmental issues were selected and three project-based learning was proposed: recognizing, musicing, participating, and self-reflecting. Students realize that this is my job by musically solving various ecological issues through three projects, clearly recognizing the ecological problems that felt somewhat ambiguous and abstract, sympathizing with the crisis, and constantly reflecting on what they should do for the planet and what role they should play.
