상담자의 자기효능감에 관한 연구동향: KCI에 등재된 학술지 논문을 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 국내에서 발표된 상담자의 자기효능감에 관한 연구 동향을 살펴보고, 향후 연구와 상담자 훈련을 위한 시사점을 탐구하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 한국학술지인용색인(KCI)에 등재된 80편의 논문을 대상으로 출판 경향, 주요어, 연구 참여자, 연구 설계에 관한 내용을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 출판 경향을 조사한 결과, 2005년에 처음으로 상담자의 자기효능감을 주제로 한 연구가 발표되었으며 이후 2020년까지 31개의 학술지에서 80편의 논문이 게재되었다. 둘째, 주요어를 조사한 결과에서는 불안, 완벽주의, 탄력성과 같은 개인의 내적 특성이나 슈퍼비전 및 전문성 발달과 관련된 변인, 그리고 소진이나 직무 환경과 같은 직업적 특성과 관련된 변인 키워드가 활발하게 연구된 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 연구 참여자를 조사한 결과, 일반 상담자와 초보 상담자, 상담을 전공하는 학생에 대한 연구뿐만 아니라 놀이치료자, 음악치료사, 미술치료사를 대상으로 한 연구도 활발하게 발표된 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 연구 설계를 조사한 결과, 양적연구 방법론을 사용하여 변인 간의 관계를 규명한 연구가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났으며 질적연구 방법론과 혼합설계를 사용한 연구는 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 프로그램 개발 및 실험 연구와 척도 개발 및 타당화 연구도 크게 진척되지 못한 것으로 확인되었다.

Abstract

This study examines the research trends in studies on counselors’ self-efficacy that have been published in Korean journals and explores their implications for future research and counselor training. Eighty papers listed in the Korea Citation Index (KCI) were analyzed for publication trends, keywords, participants, and research design. The results of this study are as follows. First, a survey of publishing trends showed that the first study on counselors’ self-efficacy published was in 2005. Between then and 2020, 80 papers were published in 31 journals. Second, a survey of keywords indicated that the studies focused on revealing the participants’ personal characteristics, such as anxiety, perfectionism, and resilience, that affect self-efficacy; variables related to supervision or professional development; or variables associated with occupational characteristics such as exhaustion or work environment. Third, a survey of research participants demonstrated that there has been active research on general counselors, novice counselors, and students studying counseling, as well as play therapists, music therapists, and art therapists. Fourth, a survey of research designs displayed that most studies demonstrated the relationship between variables using quantitative research methods, and only a small number of studies used qualitative research methods or mixed designs. The number of studies on program development, experimental research, criterion development, and validation was minimal.
