지방 사립대 학부생의 진로의사결정 과정에 관한 인식: 사회인지 진로이론을 중심으로

초록

본 연구의 목적은 사회인지 진로이론을 중심으로 지방 사립대 학부생의 진로의사결정 과정에 관한 인식을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 지방 사립대 학부생 15명을 대상으로 초점집단면접(Focus Group Interview)을 진행하였고, 수집된 자료는 연구 참여자의 진술 내용을 범주와 차원에 따라 분류함으로써 보다 체계적으로 파악할 수 있는 내용분석 절차 및 방법에 따라 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 총 4개 영역, 9개 범주, 25개 의미내용이 도출되었다. 4개의 영역은 ‘개인특성’,‘진로준비행동’, ‘진로에 대한 기대’, ‘진로 방해 요인’이며, 9개 범주는 ‘개인특성’에서 ‘자기효능감’, ‘자기관리’, ‘진로준비행동’에서‘구체적이고 명확한 목표 설정’, ‘노력을 통한 다양한 경험 축적’으로 나타났고, ‘진로에 대한 기대’에서 ‘외적인 보상 기대’, ‘심리적 보상 기대’로 나타났으며, ‘진로 방해 요인’에서 ‘환경적 진로장벽’, ‘개인적 진로장벽’, ‘관계적 진로장벽’으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 시사점 및 제한점을 제시하였으며, 본 연구의 결과가 지방 사립대 학부생의 진로의사결정 과정에 도움을 줄 수 있는 방안을 마련하는데 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the perceptions of undergraduates at provincial private universities about the career decision-making process based on social cognitive career theory(SCCT). To this end, a focus group interview(FGI) was conducted with 15 undergraduates from a provincial private university. The collected data was analyzed using content analysis procedures and methods that can be more systematically grasped by classifying the statements of the participants according to categories and dimensions. As a results of the study, a total of 4 areas, 9 categories, and 25 semantic contents were derived. The 4 areas were 'personal characteristics', 'career preparation behaviors', 'career expectations', and 'career obstacles', and 9 categories were 'self-efficacy' and 'self-management' in 'personal characteristics', 'setting specific and clear goals' and 'accumulation of various experiences through efforts' in career preparation behaviors, 'external reward expectations' and 'psychological reward expectations' in 'career expectations', and 'environmental career barriers', 'personal career barriers', and 'relational career barriers' in 'career obstacles'. Based on the results of this study, the implications and limitations were presented. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used to develop strategies to help undergraduates at provincial private universities in their career decision-making process.
