초록
Interpreting “without discerning the body” (μὴ διακρίνων τὸ σῶμα) in 1 Corinthians 11:29 is difficult because what Paul means by τὸ σῶμα is unclear. This article seeks to explore Paul’s theology of σῶμα Χριστοῦ by examining his language of σῶμα and the context of σῶμα Χριστοῦ in 1 Corinthians, and by surveying the various interpretations of διακρίνων τὸ σῶμα to understand the sense and referent of τὸ σῶμα in 1 Corinthians 11:29. The interpretations of τὸ σῶμα exhibit multivalent tension because of the complexity of Pauline σῶμα Χριστοῦ as a theological referent.
