이 글은 필자가 수년간 몸과 대화하며 그와 함께 공유적 삶을 구성해 온 자전적 탐구 기록이며, 그 기록이 자아들을 통섭하는 방법에 대해 가지는 함의와 제언들을 독자들과 공유하기위한 것이다. 이 자전적 탐구 기록은 2015년부터 최근까지 감각, 직관, 감정, 연상, 상, 꿈을 통해 몸이 전해 준 삶의 이야기에 대해 의식이 다양한 방식으로 화답하며 구성한 대화적 기록들로 구성되어 있다. 연구의 결과는 1) 몸 역시 의식과 마찬가지로 자신의 살에 담긴 삶의 주제를 주체적으로 인식하고, 대화하고, 구현하는 존재이며, 2) 의식과 몸은 기호언어 체계의 길들이기와 억압에 의해 서로 분열적 삶을 살 수 있으며, 3) 이때 의식이 몸의 삶에 순전하게 관심을 가지고 귀 기울이면, 몸은 자신의 원과 상황을 의식에게 순전하게 이야기를 전하며, 4) 의식과 몸이 대화를 통해 인생 사건의 전반적인 공유가 이루어질 경우, 서로는 기호언어 체계의종속으로부터 벗어나 통섭적 자아성을 형성할 수 있다는 것이다. 이 결과들이 함의하는 바는첫째, 인간의 의식 뒤에 숨어서 그것에 영향을 미치던 세계를 ‘무의식’이라고 명명하던 것을‘몸’으로 실체화할 수 있으며, 둘째, ‘무의식(혹은 잠재의식)의 역동’을 ‘몸의 삶’으로 재해석하는경로를 열어주며, 셋째, 무의식과 의식 사이의 상호 역동을 이해하고 치유하는 ‘정신분석(psychoanalysis)’과 ‘심리치료(psychotherapy)’의 성격과 방법을 ‘몸과의 대화’로 재개념화할 수있는 가능성들을 열어준다.
Abstract
This paper is an autobiographical record of constructing a shared life through the several year long dialogue between the conscious and the body, with which I am expected to share the implications and suggestions on how to thread the conflicting selves from the inquiry results. The autobiographical record is composed of the dialogical representations which have been weaved between the responses of the conscious to the stories of the body through the representative windows of emotion, intuition, feelings, association, imagery, and dreams from the year of 2016. The results of the inquiry shows firstly that the body is a living being who recognizes, dialogues, and fulfills the life themes carved in the fresh of my body, secondly that both the body and the conscious continue to live a disconnected life amidst of the oppression and taming of the symbolic language system, thirdly that the body talks about one’s wish and circumstances when the conscious genuinely listens to the life of the body, and fourthly that the body and the conscious can liberate themselves from the subjugation of the symbolic language system and thus form a cohesive identity-shaping of the two by sharing each other’s life stories. The results imply the possibility that we can 1) rename ‘the conscious’ into ‘the body’ which influences beyond the realm of human consciousness as a overriding power, 2) find a window of reinterpreting ‘the dynamics of the unconscious’ more as ‘the life of the body’, 3) reconceptualize the characteristics and methods of ‘psychoanalysis’ and ‘psychotherapy’ the purpose of which is to understand and treat the dynamics of the conscious and the unconscious more as the dialogue of the body and the conscious.
