보호관찰소(준법지원센터)는 재범방지와 갱생보호 등 지역사회에 기여하는 순기능적 목적과는 다르게 지역주민들에게는 부정적인 인식되고 있다. 하지만 이런 부정적인 인식들이 보호관찰소(준법지원센터)의 기능과 역할에 대해서 지역주민들이 명확히 알지 못하는 상태에서 막연하게 형성되고 있다는 점에서 주민들의 인식개선을 통한 보호관찰소의 이미지 쇄신이 요구된다. 이 연구에서는 지역주민의 인식개선을 통해 보호관찰소(준법지원센터)의 부정적인 이미지가 개선될 수 있도록 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 보호관찰관련 교육용 앱(App)을 활용해 실제 인식개선에 효과적인지 확인하고자 했다. 앱을 통한 학습이 지역주민들의 인식변화에 영향을 주었는지와 그 요인은 무엇인지 실증적으로 확인했다. 연구를 위해 교육욕 앱(App) 사용의 사후분석을 위한 t-test, ANOVA 분석 그리고 회귀분석을 활용했으며, 조사 대상자는 온라인에서 무작위 추출해 연구되었다. 연구결과 교육용 앱(App)에서 제공되는 문제를 많이 틀린 사람(보호관찰 순기능을 잘 몰랐던 사람)이 두려움, 불안감, 혐오감에 대한 인식개선에 공통적으로 효과적인 요인이었다. 보호관찰소(준법지원센터)에 대한 각 영역별 인식에 있어서 두려움에 대한 인식개선에는 보호관찰소 인지여부가 혐오감에서는 자녀 유무가 각각 인식의 변화에 영향을 미치는 변수로 확인되었다. 이 연구결과를 통해 추후 보호관찰소(준법지원센터)의 적극적인 홍보의 필요성과 홍보에 대한 유형별 전략을 제언했다.
Abstract
Probation offices are perceived negatively by local residents, unlike the purely functional purpose of contributing to the local community, such as preventing recidivism and protecting rehabilitation. However, since these negative perceptions are vaguely formed without a clear understanding of the function and role of the probation center, the image of the probation center through the improvement of residents' awareness is required. The purpose of this study is to improve the negative image of the probation center through the improvement of local residents' awareness. To this end, we tried to use an educational app related to probation to see if it is effective in improving real awareness. We empirically confirmed whether learning through the app influenced the change of perception of local residents and what the factors were. For the study, t-test, ANOVA analysis, and regression analysis were used for the post-analysis of the use of the app for education, and the subjects were randomly extracted and studied online. As a result of the study, those who made a lot of mistakes in the problems provided by educational apps were a common effective factor in improving the perception of fear, anxiety, and disgust. In the perception of each area of the probation center, the awareness of fear was identified as a variable influencing the change in perception. Through the results of this study, the necessity of active public relations by probation offices in the future and strategies for each type of public relations were suggested.
