본 연구는 최근 이스라엘·하마스 전쟁 양상을 분석하고 인지전의 중요성을 규명하여 미래의 인지전 전략과 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 사이버전의 특성과 인지전의 개념을 사이버전 등장이전과 이후로 구분하였으며, 최근 현대전에서 인지전의 성공사례와 실패 사례를 통해서 인지전 전략의 중요성을 찾고자 연구하였다. 연구 결과로는 사이버전과 인지전과의 상호작용을 통해 현대전에서 인지전이 한 영역임을 증명하였으며, 인지전의 개념을 정립하여 인지전을 대상과 목적에 따라 구체화하여 제시하였다. 북한도 인지전 전략을 모방·수행할 것에 대한 한국군의 인지전에 대한 발전을 위한 정책 제언으로 적의 인지전을 식별·분석 능력 강화 인지전 전담부서 설립, 우주 및 사이버 공간 활용 역량을 강화하여야 한다.
Abstract
This study attempted to present future cognitive warfare strategies and directions by analyzing the recent Israeli-Hamas war patterns and identifying the importance of cognitive warfare. To this end, the characteristics of cyber warfare and the concept of cognitive warfare were divided into before and after the advent of cyber warfare, and the importance of cognitive warfare strategies was studied through success and failure cases of cognitive warfare in recent modern warfare. As a result of the study, it was proven that cognitive warfare is an area in modern warfare through the interaction between cyber warfare and cognitive warfare, and the concept of cognitive warfare was established and cognitive warfare was presented in detail according to the target and purpose. As a policy suggestion for the development of the South Korean military's cognitive warfare strategy, North Korea should also imitate and carry out cognitive warfare strategies. It is necessary to strengthen the ability to identify and analyze the enemy's cognitive warfare, establish a cognitive warfare department, and strengthen the capacity to utilize space and cyberspace.
