과학과 교육용 콘텐츠 개발 방안 연구 - 과학 교사들이 필요로 하는 연수와 교수ㆍ학습 자료에 대한 실태 조사

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore in-service training areas and teaching resources necessary for science teachers through surveys and teacher interviews. To establish a long-term developmental plan for educational contents in science education, we investigated (1)science topics that teachers and students have difficulty in teaching and learning, (2)effective teaching methods for certain topics that in-service teachers utilize, and (3)resources that the local boards of education and research institutions should develop and provide for schools using open-ended response items. Science teachers reported that they need in-service training in such areas as deepening teachers’ own content knowledge and teaching methods, understanding student thinking, and exploring the latest teaching theory and research trend. Secondary science teachers' highest demands for in-service training was learning how to motivate students for science learning. We also analyzed why teachers and students have difficulty in teaching and learning of certain topics in each science area. Based on the analysis results of teachers' demands for in-service training and educational contents development, the plan and direction of mid­and long­term science educational contents development were suggested.
